This is for you if any of this sounds familiar…

🧠

You have ADHD or a racing mind

Reiki creates rare moments of genuine stillness. Many people with ADHD find it one of the few things that truly quiets the noise — for themselves and their children.

🌡️

You're navigating menopause

Hot flushes, disrupted sleep, emotional waves. Reiki supports your nervous system through the transition — gently, without side effects, on your own terms.

⏱️

Life is relentlessly busy

You give everything to everyone else. Reiki is something you can do just for you — even 10 minutes a day makes a measurable difference to your stress levels.

🌸

You're on a fertility journey

Reiki is used alongside IVF and natural fertility support. It helps regulate stress hormones, supports emotional wellbeing, and puts you back in touch with your body.

👨‍👩‍👧

You want to help your family

After Level 1, you can give Reiki to your children, your partner, elderly parents — and even your pets. It's one of the most generous gifts you can learn.

🌿

You feel called to something more

Something inside you knows there's another way of living — more connected, more purposeful, more you. Reiki is often the first step back home to yourself.

A gentle energy
you can feel

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese healing practice that works with the body's natural energy. Practitioners place their hands gently on or just above the body, allowing universal life energy to flow where it's needed most.

It is deeply relaxing, non-invasive, and requires no belief system. It works beautifully alongside conventional medicine and is used in hospices, hospitals, and wellness clinics across the UK.

At Level 1, you learn to give Reiki to yourself, your family, and your pets. This is where every practitioner — and every healing journey — begins.

Everything you'll learn & receive

Over two nurturing days with a maximum of six people, you'll leave qualified, confident, and ready to begin your practice.

"
The only way to properly sum up this course is "life-changing." Far and above the theory and practical, it's an opportunity to really explore the whole world of reiki and how you relate to it. Kat immediately sets you at ease — there's such a lovely relaxed, informal atmosphere that despite learning lots, you feel rejuvenated and refreshed at the end, and ready to take on the world.

Katrina Clark, Founder of Reiki Training Academy

Hi, I'm Katrina

I've been teaching Reiki since 2006 — but what brings me to this work isn't just training. It's lived experience of the very things many of you are navigating right now.

Alongside Reiki, I'm a Somatic Therapist trained in Compassionate Inquiry — the approach developed by Dr Gabor Maté. This means I understand deeply how the body holds stress, trauma, and emotion, and how healing happens not just through the mind but through felt, embodied experience. It shapes everything about how I teach and how I hold a space.

During perimenopause, I received a late ADHD diagnosis — something that happens to so many women at this stage of life, when hormonal shifts can make previously managed symptoms impossible to ignore. Perimenopause was one of the biggest health challenges I've ever faced. It pushed me to develop a real, practical toolkit for my own wellbeing — and Reiki was at the heart of it.

Reiki also walked with me through my IVF journey. In the tender, uncertain space of fertility treatment, it gave me a way to stay connected to my body, to release the anxiety, and to feel held — even on the hardest days. I now have two children, and Reiki is woven into our family life.

I share all of this because I want you to know: when I teach these topics, I'm not reading from a textbook. I'm speaking from the inside of an experience very like yours.

My groups are small by design — a maximum of six — because I believe everyone deserves real attention and genuine care.

You might be wondering…

Do I need any experience or special ability? +
Absolutely not. Reiki is not something you learn — it's something you're attuned to. You don't need any background in healing, spirituality, or wellbeing. The only thing you need is an open heart and a genuine desire to help. I've taught complete beginners from every walk of life.
Can I really use it on my children and pets? +
Yes — this is one of the most beautiful things about Level 1. Once you're attuned, you can offer Reiki to children, babies, and animals. It's wonderfully gentle, and many parents find it transforms bedtime routines, anxiety, and hyperactivity in their children. Pets often gravitate toward it naturally.
I have ADHD — do I need any adjustments? +
Please just let me know — I'm here to make this work for you, not the other way around. I was diagnosed with ADHD during perimenopause myself, so I understand this from the inside. The course naturally suits different learning styles: we move between discussion, hands-on practice, and quieter moments — there are no long lectures or rigid sitting-still sessions. The attunement itself often brings a rare and genuine stillness to a busy mind. If there's anything specific that would help you feel more comfortable — breaks, movement, written materials, a quieter space — just ask. Nothing is too much trouble.
I'm going through menopause — is Reiki relevant for me? +
Very much so — and this is something I understand deeply. Perimenopause was one of the biggest health challenges I've personally faced. It was also when I received my late ADHD diagnosis, which so many women experience at this stage when hormonal shifts amplify everything. Reiki became a cornerstone of how I navigated that time — supporting my nervous system, improving sleep, and helping me find steadiness on the most overwhelming days. I now teach from that lived experience, not just from a textbook. You'll leave with a daily practice you can genuinely draw on through every stage of this transition.
Can Reiki help with fertility? +
Reiki supported me through my own IVF journey, and it's something I hold very close to my heart. In the middle of fertility treatment — with all its uncertainty, waiting, and emotional weight — Reiki gave me a way to stay connected to my body and release anxiety rather than carry it. I now have two children, and Reiki is still part of our family life. While it isn't a medical treatment and I'll always be honest about that, the stress reduction it offers is real and meaningful — and chronic stress is known to affect fertility. Many women use it alongside IVF or natural conception support, and I'm glad to talk through how it might support you specifically.
Where does the course take place? +
The course is held at Haven, Stonehaven — a beautiful, welcoming space at 3 Market Square Buildings, Stonehaven, AB39 2BY. Haven is a calm, nurturing venue that feels completely in keeping with the spirit of the course. If you need any help with directions or travel, just get in touch.
What does "trauma-informed" mean, and why does it matter? +
Trauma-informed practice means that everything about how I teach — the environment, the language I use, the pace, the choices I offer you — is designed with an awareness that many people carry experiences that have affected their nervous system, their sense of safety, or their relationship with their body. You will never be pushed, rushed, or put on the spot. Consent is central to everything we do. You are always in control of your own experience. Nothing is compulsory. This approach matters because healing work done in a space that feels truly safe lands so much more deeply — and because many of the people Reiki serves (those navigating stress, hormonal change, ADHD, fertility, or difficult life seasons) deserve a space where they can exhale completely.
What if I'm not sure Reiki is right for me? +
I offer a free discovery call for exactly this reason. No sales pressure — just a chance to ask any questions, share where you are, and see if this feels right. Many students tell me the call alone was reassuring. I'd love to speak with you.
Can I pay in instalments? +
Yes — payment by instalment is available on request. I never want money to be the reason someone can't access this. Just get in touch or mention it when you book a discovery call and we'll find something that works for you.

You deserve to feel this good.
